It can be overwhelming figuring out where to start when looking for a puppy and then preparing for when you bring your puppy home.

If you choose an excellent experienced and knowledgeable breeder then they should provide you with lots of useful information to help you on your journey with your puppy. Sadly, this isn’t always the case and new puppy owners can really struggle for the first few weeks or months of owning a puppy because their breeder didn’t lay down excellent foundations right from the start when the puppies had been born and for the following 8 weeks that they remain with the breeder.

If you feel as though you could be entering the unknown when your puppy comes home and you are unsure of how to prepare mentally for having a puppy, with so much conflicting information on the internet; websites and social media Paws 4 Training are here to help to make the start of your journey together enjoyable and memorable for all the right reasons.

You don’t want to be left feeling tired and exhausted before your new family member comes to your home.

When you are investing thousands of pounds for a puppy, a creature who is a sentient being then it is essential that you invest in the correct type of training to help you to have a happy, healthy puppy that continues to be a happy, healthy and well-trained adult dog and member of your family.

Approximately 60% of dogs in the UK have no formal puppy or obedience training with a qualified trainer.

The rescue centres are filling up with adolescent dogs due to owners not being able to cope with them when they reach this phase. This can easily be avoided by working with a qualified experienced trainer from the beginning ensuring owners are laying down the correct foundations for their puppies.

Paws 4 Training is educating new puppy owners to help prevent puppies from being re-homed as they enter the adolescent phase.

We offer a consultation service where we can talk through with you how you can prepare for your new puppy to join your family.

We can answer all your questions helping you with any concerns you may have that will help you from having any future problems.

Putting all this preparation in early will help to prevent you from having unwanted problems. Including sleepless nights, whining, barking and chewing.

This will save you hours of your time in your busy schedules from trawling the internet and trying to decide if the information you have been given is correct for you and your dog. Each consultation is personalised for each client.
