Reactive Dog

Reactive Dog Workshop

Facilitators: Tamasine Smith from Leadchanges Dog Behaviour. Hosted by Naomi Farrow

  • Are you experiencing reactive responses in your dog – to other dogs or humans?
  • Do you see snappy responses, lip curls or sudden but seemingly unprovoked reactions to things?
  • Are you seeing any resource guarding type behaviour?
  • Does your dog show any fearful/anxious behaviours in general or reactive responses related to these?
  • Do you experience on-lead reactivity or unfriendly barking at things?
  • Would you like to address these, learn more about what may cause them and like to experience some practical support?

Find out more:

Learn more about what causes dogs to react to things and understand more about what lies behind this stressful canine behaviour.  It might be different from what you thought.

Learn how genetics, epigenetics, early developmental experiences, adolescence and health issues can all lead to reactive or aggressive behavioural responses.

Empower yourself with more knowledge and gain some insights into how we can aim to prevent dogs from showing aggressive responses to things in the first place and how we might support those already struggling to make better choices and live a better quality of life.

Would you like to attend with your dog?

This workshop will provide you with a better understanding, which will then help you decide if you require further support with your canine companion.

This workshop is for dogs that are not dog-friendly.

If you would like to attend with your dog, we have 3 spaces available; the cost is £55. This will include a 45-minute 1-2-1 session at the end of the two-hour talk. Bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact us to book.

If you have a dog that is not human-friendly, we can certainly help with this, but as they will require a bit more preparation, it won’t be suitable for them to attend, as we will have people attending who want to watch the sessions after the talk. Please don’t hesitate to talk to us.

We are offering discounted rates for further support for anyone attending on the day.

Availability to attend without your dog

We have limited spaces available for you to attend without your dog.

This will give you the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of why your dog is showing aggressive-type responses.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and book behaviour support for your dog.
