Nose Work Level 2
Following on from the level 1 basic scent training workshop the level 2 workshop will be working on your handling ability in learning a methodical search pattern to work with your dog in finding cheese or a toy. We use small toys that have been infused with catnip. The toy motivated dogs love searching for these little toys.
The searches will be made much harder and there will be multiple searches for each session you have with your dog. We use cardboard boxes and other items that are safe for your dogs to search in and around.
Nose training is a fantastic way to mentally stimulate your dog which is why it is ideal for puppies and dogs of all ages and if dog’s or owners are on reduced exercise. 10 minutes of nose work training is equivalent to 1 hours walk. The more complicated the searches the more tired your dog will be.
Dogs really enjoy sniffing so what a wonderful way to keep them happy!
The training is suitable for puppies and dogs of all ages. We currently have two levels.
- Nose Work 1 – is the basic scent workshop
- Nose work 2 – you will learn handling skills and we will make the searches a bit more tricky. (You must have completed nose work 1)
Each workshop is for 3 hours.
Cost £50 per dog
