This course is suitable for puppies and dogs who have successfully completed our novice training course.

If you have completed training with another organisation and your dog is able to complete all of the exercises in our novice course in a class environment this course may be suitable. (please contact us to discuss)

If you have booked onto this course and we feel that the course is too advanced for your dog you will be offered a place on our novice course.

All dogs must be friendly with dogs and people.

What your dog will learn:

  1. Sit, down and stand from a distance
  2. Heelwork off lead
  3. Sit and down in motion
  4. Stay: circle around dog for 2 minutes at a minimum of two paces away.
  5. Recall from a distraction (person, food or toy)
  6. Finish
  7. Come in close
  8. Targetting – transfer to a target
  9. Lay flat
  10. Chin – progress to lap

Using clicker training and working with you and your dog to help you progress your training to a good level that will then enable you to continue on further with your obedience training or with other activities that we offer.

By using luring and freeshaping this will help you to achieve the above behaviours with your dog.
