Barn Hunt
We are very excited to be hosting Barn Hunt at our training centre in the Autumn!
Barn Hunt is the UK’s newest sporting activity for dogs and handlers.
It is the fastest-growing sport for dogs in the USA. Hide and Seek for dogs that simulate hunting in barns –using natural instinct and scent detection, the dog searches for the quarry in specially made tubes that are hidden amongst straw bales, the handler has to read the dog’s cues and correctly identify the tube in a specified amount of time.

Who should attend?
Barn Hunt is an inclusive sport for ALL dogs, all breeds and cross breeds, it is open to older dogs and dogs with disabilities (i.e 3 legged dog, deaf dog). It allows the dog to use its natural instincts.
As each dog is worked individually this means that we can have reactive dogs attend the workshops. Please just advise us on booking.
All dogs do nose work and Barn Hunt allows your dog to use those natural instincts. It is fun but also tests speed, agility, hunting instincts, and the handler’s ability to read cues and signals so that you work as a team in the ring.
The handler can observe their dog without running around, it’s open to all handlers as well! Our barn is wheelchair accessible, please just advise us on booking if you require any additional support.
