An Overview of 2016

As another year draws to a close it is time to look back on another great year here at Paws 4 Training. We had many new clients join our training classes with record numbers attending puppy classes in the summer months. Vicki and I had two additional training assistants Hayley Metcalf and Kiera Dowse to cope with the increased demand.

We are now looking for an additional training assistant to help in our puppy classes on a Monday evening and Saturday morning. Please email me if you are interested or know someone who is. Training will be provided.

All our classes were extremely well attended with waiting lists for most classes. Agility classes were very busy and it was great watching the dogs and owners progress. As always my husband Rob came up with some excellent courses some easy and some much more challenging which everyone enjoyed.

We started flyball classes in the late spring and as time went on we had to offer a second class to keep up with the demand. As dogs are progressing with their flyball training they have the opportunity to move up a level opening up spaces for more beginners.

We are now taking bookings for all our classes:

The next Bronze, Silver and Gold obedience classes with availability are starting in February 2017. Email us to reserve your space.

Flyball is resuming on Saturday 7th January. We have spaces for beginners. Dogs must have a good level of obedience and be over one year of age. 18 months for larger breed dogs.

Beginners agility classes will be starting in the spring. We currently have a waiting list.

We will be running a variety of workshops throughout the year for puppy training, basic and intermediate obedience. These workshops are ideal if you are unable to attend a regular course and will be suitable for puppies who haven’t attended any training or if you want to polish up on your puppy’s training (pups up to 24 weeks of age). The basic obedience is suitable for puppies from 24 weeks and dogs of all ages who have either attended some puppy training or have done no training classes. The intermediate obedience training is suitable for puppies and dogs from 6 months of age and have completed some formal training. Look on our classes page for the class for details to enrol. We will be offering discount if you book 2 or more workshops.

Whilst you are all enjoying the Christmas festivities remember to keep all food out of the reach of your dogs as most food that we all enjoy can be extremely toxic to dogs.

Anything containing:

  • Onions
  • Dried fruit
  • Alcohol
  • Chocolate

Thank you again to everyone who attended our training classes this year.

A big thank you to Vicki Utting who is a very valuable member of the Paws team who we can not manage without. Vicki has been running puppy, bronze and silver classes this year. She is a huge credit to my business.

Thank you to Hayley and Kiera for your help in puppy classes things were very busy for a few months we were able to split the classes into various levels of abilities and progress the puppies through their training.

Also a huge thank you to my husband Rob who continues to support me with my business and has more recently been teaching whilst I was on maternity leave after having our daughter Paige. Without his help and continued support Paws 4 Training wouldn’t be the business that it is.

Wishing you and your human and fur families a very merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2017

Best wishes

Naomi, Rob, Paige, Harley, Phoenix and Bumble Bee
