Canine Hoopers (CHUK Accredited)
Hoopers is a relatively new sport in the UK for our canine companions. It was started in America and provides low impact courses using a plastic frame that has a hoop for the dogs to run through. Barrels are used to provide a change in direction for the dogs. Tunnels are also used but these are shorter than those used for agility and are always kept straight.
Due to it being low impact it is ideal for puppies and older dogs.
We will be running taster sessions on the dates specified above. The 6 week courses will start the following week.
If you have done some agility with your dog, the classes will all start at beginners level until they have mastered the Hoopers then we will look at splitting classes for the relevant levels to include the agility equipment.
45 minute taster session £10.
6 week course costs £60 per dog. Payment is required in advance by bank transfer to guarantee your place. If you register on the taster session and then book onto the 6 week course we will do 6 weeks for the price of 5!
The courses are suitable for puppies from 6 months and dogs of all ages who have completed our novice obedience as a minimum (or other basic training elsewhere).
All puppies and dogs must be physically fit and not overweight as this can put a strain on their joints and ligaments.
To register on a course complete the booking request which is on the top right of this page. We will then send you all the details of the classes. Places are offered on a first come first served basis and will only be confirmed once payment has been received.
Proof of vaccination is required in all our classes. (Whilst we request that all puppies and dogs attending classes are fully vaccinated, it is your decision to choose whether or not to re-vaccinate annually. Should you decide not to re-vaccinate your dog annually Paws 4 Training is not liable for any illnesses your dog may contract whilst training at our training centre.)
We only use kind and gentle methods in our training classes and 1-2-1’s and do not allow the use of choke (check) chains, slip leads, slip collars or half choke (check) collars or non-pull harnesses.
